These springs are often used as buffer springs for automobile suspension systems. The diameters range from 10mm to 20mm. Automobile suspension springs are elastic components on the car's suspension, connecting the axle to the frame. The spring absorbs some of the vertical load during operation as well as restraining shocks caused by uneven road surfaces. Material: chrome silicon spring steel 55CrSi
55CrSi spring steel is usually made into high-stressed springs, which possess outstanding mechanical properties, fatigue resistance and anti-relaxation properties. In the process that 55CrSi spring steel is made into springs, an oil quenching and tempering process is needed. The quenching medium, oil, ensures great hardenability and decreases temper embrittlement and overheating sensitivity.
Because 55CrSi has a relatively low overheating sensitivity, it can function well in conditions up to 300 degrees centigrade.

The diameter of elevator buffer springs normally ranges from 10mm to 20mm. Elevator buffer spring, the main component of spring buffer, is assembled in the elevator system spring buffer for cushioning and absorbing shocks. The spring buffer will rebound after buffering, so it is only applicable in low-speed elevator systems with a rated operating speed under 1.0m/s.
